Ben Dover was in a film called 'The Last Resort' also featuring Paddy Considine. The resort was a kind of holding facility for refugees and Ben was playing a character loosely based on himself !grin!

Why does everyone talk about the sex rather than the '9 Songs' of the title ? I think Winterbottom's point was that sex has a multiplicity of meanings which aren't necessarily experienced simultaneously by the participants. People's needs and emotional states are different, and sometimes it's the principal mode of communication between a couple who can be physically intimate but emotionally distant.

The point was lost on the sex most likely. Therein was the problem. I havent seen it personally but i can bet most guys who did just watched it to see the sex.

Like that movie Destricted. lets be honest, they relied on peoples base desires to sell the film even if the film makers might have been altruistic in their motives and i did see that one to form my opinion.

I think the only one that hasn't relied on the sex angle was Irreversible
