Not just: "oh WZR's so cruel and heartless and why does he have to point out I am a prick all time with the politcal savvy of a Daily Express reader and he posts too much even though it is a forum which kinda suggests we need people to post lol but only people we agree with and who make fart jokes and invade poland every now and then aren't the Polish awful I had one in the back of my tank yesterday".
Well, I was going to slag you off, but with all the sniping over the past month, I thought I'd just act normal and polite for a change.

P.s. 1984 was excellent, and I'd already read Animal Farm in school, but forgot. It's funny how you can forget a book you've read, and as soon as your half way down the first page, it all comes back to you. 2nd time round was better though as I understood what Orwell was getting at -the USSR- while as a 11-12 year old I missed it.

Will Self always comes across as pretty funny when I've seen him on Have I got News for You, but read nothing of his. I used to take The Observer, but he'd left the paper by then.

Not read anything by him. Why, any recommendations?

Hmm, well I'll wiki him, and read up on some reviews as I'm ordering a few books off amazon this week (wodehouse & hitchens). Cheers.

Yes thanks Wazza, but only a glimpse as yet.

As for your question on my Wodehouse purchases: Well they're now on the backburner as I forgot that I have my mum's, a mate's and a young nieces birthday all within the next week.

Google brought up a little story of Wodehouse's called THE PRO which I found amusing.

I'll have a more thorough look through Will's site sometime tomorrow.
