My point was buy her the books she wants, as long as she's reading. No point in buying what she's not going to want to read. It worked with my two.

Why can't I do both? I can get her a book I think she may enjoy, as well as giving her the chance to pick one herself.
The whole point of presenting gifts is lost if you let people pick their own.

I know she's a little ahead, when it comes to reading, than the others in her class.

There's the dilema. When buying presents for people, I tend to buy to my, obviously refined taste, not necessarily theirs. Its hard to buy what you hate but know they will like.

has she read any roald dahl???? my daughter done the wilson thing then went to roald dahl now harry bloody potter!!!!!!
she thought all his books were hilarious and some of them read twice. they also look good on the book case lol
