Apparently the guy was drunk, and originally from Fife.
I'm sure I remember a recent thread about every train -and now station- has a drunk Scot.
This phenomena is akin to the rooks residing at the Tower of London.

In all seriousness though, what tosser smacks on an old bloke who's had heart troubles? To top it off, he racially abused the police officer too, before nutting him.

Drink is no excuse for committing crime.
For the record, I've only been drunk on a train once---and since that was heading northwards out of Edinburgh, it doesn't count.
