Dear Phil.
You have offered help to everyone I know, It seems not matter how hard ou fight the laws in this country do not allow us to make money to survive let alone make a profit.
I have the same discussions with uncle Ben, at least he was one of the lucky ones and was able to ge a deal when there was a little decency in the industry. I intend to hang on as long as can, if not then it's back to the ski slopes of Italy for me and teaching rich german women how to get down a mountain, hopefully on the end of my cock.
I am not complaining myself I have had a great run. And as I do not want to fall foul of the law I guess I will end up with a great private collection of porn.
MMM But days like today makes me feel like a Hungerford moment.
I will give yo a cal next week as I am fighting my cause with whatever angle I can.I have invasted nearly ?200k over the last few years, and am dammed if I am going to lay down and roll over, if it is the end of the British porn industry then I gotta draw some blood somewhere.
Good luck to all Britsh producers, I hope some of us survive.

Whilst these replies to Jim are deeply solicitous and sympathetic, I feel these emotions are wasted. Jim has moved with the times and quite rightly so. As has been said with great knowledge and expertise, no biz remains the same. We all could find reasons for not achieving hopes/expectations, but the world moves on and Jim is moving with it.
The Great McCavity will live on - probably to bigger and better things if I know anything at all about the hairy Jock.

Gentlemen: I've been a professional for 50-years (retired)never has the business been in such crisis as today-WHY,the amateurs have taken over the kitchen-the sauce is ruined, the turkey over cooked.
The same applies to D.I.Y
Recipe-catastrophe on a grand scale...the word "producer" has been devalued beyond recognition.
The Gentlemen above are the 'real pro's'but their lives are being oroded by overkill by the 'new kids on the block'e.g.know alls-know nothing!!
Leave it to the professional,please-stay out of the kitchen,if not the business will fold..full stop!

Yes, true porn fans shouldn't whinge about prices and should say NO to cheap shabby productions, NO to shabby locations, NO to shabby performers, No shabby cameramen and NO to shabby marketing. Because if you don't it will lead to all serious Brit producers calling it a day.

I agree with Remington about those satellite channels - they're crap!

A famous bearded German gentleman once said something about it being the nature of a capitalist market to monopolise itself. The porn industry is just the latest example of this. The few make cash in shitloads and the rest - whatever the quality of their product - have to work like fuck to survive. We may not like it - but its the way it is.

My hope is that all of the producers in this string find their niche and make a tidy living producing the stuff we like to watch. All the best to you all.

Crimpo,
You are damn right. And look what happened to his particular doctrine.
WE SHALL PREVAIL and fuck em all.(Us independents)
You can never fight a bandit cause you never know what he's going to do next; whereas the Governors/Giants are totally predctable.

Well I wish you well in the new material you shoot, it's a shame you've been forced into this corner!

Keep us informed of what you are doing, looking forward to those dates for filming, you have done so much for the industry, which I believe is recognised by us all.

Richie Rich
You entirely miss the point as usual. You are so consumed with your own ego.
He was not "forced" into this action, read the fucking posts and get your face out of the mirror

Sorry Marcus, just trying to offer my support to Jim, and to recognise his contribution to the business, sorry if I got it wrong.

I am also sorry if it comes across that I am "consumed with my own ego", I am just a porn fan with a love for the industry.
