Clapton got one of his friends to design it and the dildo-shaped aircraft shown on the front- I think the substances he was on at the time might have been his excuse.

The girl did the shot with the full consent of her parents and for a horse and stabling expenses which the band's two record companies met the cost of. All grown up now, she has written that she does not regret her decision at all.

Atlantic Recording Corporation insisted on the second 'swapping instuments' photo on the US release. Polydor stuck with the original photo for the rest of the world.
