Dunno bout that i judge each film alone and this is easily her best work by a long shot. Try seeing it i am pretty sure you will enjoy it.

He's in a no win situation given how many films have followed the original
halloween and none of them bar the 2nd have been worth watching IMHO

Reading the reviews the consensus seems to be that scary has been replaced by gore & vulgar dialogue.Like you said to the MAX

I'd like to see someone remake 'The Thing'

Most under rated horror movie ever

Someone already has - John Carpenter remade it in 1982.

I still prefer the 1951 original.

Okay smarty...different titles but...the thing from another world

Will settle for an update of the remake then...lol

Just seeing the multi-headed dog with todays CGI would be worth the price

MMMMMMMM.....i watched this a few weeks ago and wasnt that impressed, dont get me wrong i like Rob Zombie,i loved the arse off "Devils Rejects" but im not sure about this.....

Theres a few things in it that kinda make me not wanna watch his stuff again.
First theres his dialogue, its just offensive for the sake of it,not even funny offensive but just nasty offensive,it reminds me of the scene in "Scarface" the whole "why do u have to say fuck all the time " bit.

Then theres my biggest problem,im taking it that most of the people here have seen the workprint version thats out there? This is Rob Zombies prefered version which know doubt will turn up on DVD at some point,it has one of the most unpleasent 2 mins ive seen in a film in a while.

The rape scene in which Micheal escapes is in my mind one of the nastiest things i can remember in a "big" budget film for quite a few years.

I think on a personal level, due to the fact that when i saw this film i was in a relationship with a young lady who had told me month earlier that before she moved to England from Oz 6 years ago she had been the victim of a gang rape,i was and i dont use the word lightly sickened by the use of this as a plot device to further the story...again i understand this is just me and totally understand that i felt that sickened due to the conversation i'd had with the woman i loved but still....

I wasnt surprised to find out that Zombie had been asked to do reshoots b4 they released the film....

http://horror-movie-a-day.blogspot.com/ ... -post.html for a list of them,i actually will revist this film in the workprint version at some point soon but would also like to see the other version coz i think it'll be a much better film...

funkichadi did u download the workprint version or did u see the film at the cinema?

The rape was cut out of the cinema version,it was changed so that he escaped while being moved from his cell,if u have a look at the site in my previous post (if someone could make them clickable) u will see a list of the reshoots and changes....
