Oh no........not a pc v mac debate !rant!
Always had a pc, although I now have a powerbook (I didn't buy it, it was my ex g'f's)
Set up a wireless network and it's great. Setting up my powerbook and pc to share folders etc took me 5 mins with XP, and 30 seconds with the OS X, so mac rules that. Only downside is that I can't control the printer through the wireless network, but that's Canon's issue, not Apples.
Had no troubles with the OS dumping files in funny places, or storing images without asking, like people have said on here, so maybe you have something set up wrong?
Anyway, unless I wanted an expensive toy, I wouldn't replace my PC with a Mac, unless Apples next OX is the bollocks -cos lets face it, Microsoft are fucking up their OS's right now- but if I wanted a portable laptop, where I could go into any wi-fi cafe around Europe, and the US, and want as little hassle as possible, then I'd get a Mac......it just works.

Used Macs at Uni as that's all they had. Later, like others, I switched to a PC and found the software ran just as smoothly and sometimes better. Also preferred Windows operating system and had no problems jumping from program to program.
I know many in creative occupations still swear by Macs and maybe once they had the edge, but these days there's little difference. Maybe PCs require a touch more general maintenence, though I can't imagine learning about this would do anyone any harm.

Aye, I can't see how they just ignore PC's blindly, and refuse to change their minds, no matter what.
I always build my own PC's so I choose what goes in the fucker, and have a reciept for every part. I couldn't do that with a Mac -yet- so PC's are just way more upgradable, faster and cheaper.
As for the OS's......Microsoft better pull their heads out their arses cos OSX is catching up. Apples decision to go with Intel cpu's is a massive step forward, and I've heard Apple's mice now have TWO BUTTONS! !shocked! !laugh!

Not heard about 'Vienna' then?
It was developed along side Vista as a replacement for Vista, due in 2009 I believe.

Have you noticed that there isn't a single Mactard that is a gamer?
There is a reason for that.

Yeah, heard of Vienna, out in 09. That's why I'm not even gonna bother with Vista, and stick with XP, which has done me alright for 5 years now.
They better do a good job of Vienna too, cos waiting nearly 10 years for another decent OS, with all the dosh Microsoft can throw at it, is fucking ridiculous.

I got a lil macbook as I needed to test websites on mac to see how they looked. Horrible little machine, If i get around to replacing the shell (which I hope I can as you can on *nix, and put the bloody window controls on the right hand side, I'd give it a bit more of a chance.
One thing I can say is that the Mac Super Drive does many more formats than the PC one.
