Nice to see to see your're back again Dibble, and good to see you're raising a relevant point or two. The thing is you do raise an important subject, most of the people who buy this bilge tend to be young impressionable girls who nowadays think the way to get on in life is to be a W.A.G. Which can be deciphered as uneducated, back-biting, grasping, lying, neurotic, anorexic/obese individuals that seems in general to be the norm nowadays; the consequences of which are now being being felt. Our offspring are frightened, paranoid, guilty, etc.
To actually want to learn something seem's nowadays to uncool, not street-cred, (WZR would possibly disagree, but then again he doesn't teach in Hackney or some other god-forsaken shithole)
The smart kids will always want to learn in spite of all the distractions, but there seems to a cult of the stupid recently, with the media selling it's soul to the devil. (didn't it always?)
This however, is not just afflicting our 'Youf', I caught a snippet of the Channel 4 news tonight, regarding the 'young un's' in China, and they were exactly the same as the one's in the West. All they were bothered about was who won the Chinese version of Celebrity X bollocks. When asked about the the Chinese Communist Party and its policies, politics, etc, they replied, "Don't know, and don't really care." But they did know who had won the Celebrity Shite contest.
