If I don't regularly shave it all off, by the end of the month I look like King Kongs smaller brother.

Get your back and shoulder waxed once a month, and trim your chest hair so that the difference between back and front isn't too freaky.
Getting a mate to spray you allover with lighter fuel and then setting fire to yourself would be a good party trick, and a good way of showing the birds how brave and unpredictable you are.
Don't do this with your clothes on though. That would just mean you're unpredictable and psychotic - not a good impression.

Hi Trumpton,
I don't have any preferences really although some of my friends are in one camp or the other, so to speak.
I think if you feel better shaving and you don't mind going through your monthly routine then continue, but if it's causing you grief then why carry on? If Ms Trumpton really wants you, she'll accept all of you, hairs and all, me thinks!
I hope that's been of some help.

What a choice: suicide or the girly defoliation option.

Sam, you don't realise just how hairy my chest and back are. Triming either back or front would make no visable difference.

Also, it would burn off all the hair instantaneously and do away with the need to shave for some considerable time.

Yes, must make a good impression for the ladies.

I don't like body hair, I find it a bit creepy. I like a guy's body to be nice and smooth - underarms, chest, back, balls, everything.
Would you have it all waxed off Trumpton?

You see, my advice means you can rid yourself of body hair in a manly, exciting way, it's an ice breaker at parties, and you'll become a babe magnate.
Fuck Jeremy Kyle, I should have that job.

Lol Sam! You've quoted me out of context! I meant why carry on with the routine of having monthly all over shaves if it's causing Trumpton grief?
Better to be hairy and happy than shaved and sullen!
