I've only seen the non-try from behind but looked like a dropped ball perhaps?

Given how the Ref giving the decision was an Aussie the no-try call it shouldn't surprise...revenge is sweet ;-)

No, a bloke. Ran on to the 18th at the Old Course during the Open with an arrow painted down his back pointing to the 19th hole.

A really, really sad case whose kids must have been embarrassed as hell by him.

The consensus seemed to be that the England player's knee touched the line, and he was therefore in touch.

Pre-TV replays, it would have been given 499 times out of 500.

Anyway, Skippy, you'll be chuffed that your mates won :-)

As it happened I was supporting the Boks purely because teams i support invariably lose...I've lost my touch

Their one team that i will never support
Talented thugs is how I describe them

It was a pisspoor game---but then the tournament never really take off. The Pumas apart, most sides looked rather jaded. England battled away and did well tactically to reach the final, but it would have been pretty awful if they'd taken the title again.

Finals are always anti-climatic

I agree,the tournament was a shocker

Defence has made try scoring nigh on impossible it would seem
where the 2 teams are equally matched

The pool stages were a yawn

The medias attention being directed to England woes shows how much of a yawn the pool stage was

I thought it was a great match. Right from the start you could see that that they were a 'team'. I mean Dallaglio was practically screaming the national anthem at the crowd. They never gave up and you knew that if the front row were going in for a tackle, that that person was goin' down and hard. They had so much heart and our poxy football team should take note of that peformance. Even after the 'no try' incident they didn't even seem fazed. After England F.C score 1 goal, they think they should be lifting the world cup!

I enjoyed it.

BTW what sort of name is Percy?????
