She's just got it.......... from the Eurythmics to her solo stuff. The likes of 'Why?', 'Little Bird' and 'Walking on Broken Glass' are superb. Wussy for a man to admit that.
A fine Scottish ambassador.

I like the fact that she can hold a note for ages, but chooses when to do it, unlike the Careys/Dions/Houstons of this world.
Also, she comes across as being a decent person.
But the voice of an angel just about covers it. Was listening to Julia earlier (from the 1984 album). Just wonderful.

I agree, part of her appeal, to me anyway, is the lack of ego.
Very much the anithesis of Sheena Easton, who sold out and sacrificed her identity; hearing the American accent on what should be a Bellshill lassie just ain't right.
