Is that Huw Edwards' rear entrance you were planning to enter ... think you'll need more than a shovel.

It seemed like an unsafe conviction to me from the outset and every documentary i've seen since tends to reinforce that view. There's a need for the public to feel safe and comforted by closure and resolution just as there's a need for the Police service to appear and feel competent. People like Barry George are the fall guys for this, and it's easy to take a guy who isn't the brightest button and he'll make your case for you if you give him the right prompts.

Look at the guy Stephan Kisko who spent 16 years in prison for the Lesley Molseed murder, a case which is being tried presently. It just seems depressingly familiar to me .. take someone who isn't especially bright and socially awkward and they're ripe for 'fitting up'.

One of the measures of a civilised society is how well it protects its most vulnerable members. It seems to me that people like Barry George aren't protected. For him it's positively Kafka-esque !

As Brian Potter might say:

"One word. Kenneth Noye."

Think on.
