Ok, the average height for females in the latter Victorian era was 5', and it's now around 5'5''. An 8.3% increase.

The average female waist of today is 34", and it was around 28" one hundred years ago. A 21.4% increase.

To componsate for the height increase, the average waist should be around 31", not 34".

I'm not complaining of skinny birds........quite the opposite you dumb reptile! !wink!

Personally I think you can look at someone and tell their too skinny because their out of proportion and simply look unhealthy

I hate it when the media have a go at skinny models and celebs, but ignore the fat bastards. I mean, they very rarely put a fat bird on the front cover with the title 'OBESE CELEBS!' or 'SHOCKING BLUBBER WHALE -SEE INSIDE!' No, society says, it's ok to take the piss out of these girls, but rude to take the piss out of those other girls.

Millions of teenagers are clinically obese, and will suffer, and die from life-long illnesses like diabetes, every day across the western world, and yet we're paranoid over our kiddies becoming anorexic. It's like putting ant powder down in the garden everyday, but ignoring the pitbull that's taking chunks out of your leg.

Where indeed, Liz. I guess the reasons are many and reflect a whole range of changes in western society since the early 90?s. But I reckon more than a little of the blame could be laid at the door of those lonely, hormone crazed, 21st century chortling gits of ?amateur? producers who seem totally oblivious to the fact that the objects of their pervery are about as appealing to Joe Average as a trip to the clap clinic.
