He was a wierdo. I met him at a couple of parties when I was living in Manhattan in about 1979. My then girlfriend was an artist and used to take me to some very strange parties.
He looked like the nearest thing I have ever seen to a walking corpse and never seemed to say anything. I wouldn't have been surprised if he was leaned in a corner of the room before the party started and then removed after everyone had gone.
