Heinz advertising.

Who is old enough to remember the advertising campaign by Heinz?

It went:

"A million housewives everyday, pick up a tin of beans and say 'Beans means Heinz."

Questions?

How did Heinz know these figures? How did they know that all these housewives gave that statement when they picked up a tin of beans? Did they give that statement when they picked up another brand of baked beans? What research did they conduct?

Beans, COLD, any time, any month, any occasion...

Warm/Hot Beans = Ewwww, fucking nasty taste, reminds me of stale porridge.

Beans must ALWAYS be eaten cold, straight from the tin (after being sat in the fridge for an hour), if your cold (winter), just eat them on toast or with hot mash taters.

You want oldish advertisements that were'nt screaming nonsensicle cunt-fuck at you, or drivelsome financial bullshit, what about the Smash adverts?

Packet Mashed Potato adverts, fucking brilliant, a load of metalic alien/robotic/weird things falling all over themselves on board their spaceship, like a bunch of demented retards, CLASSIC Adverts.

Did his send-ups on the goodies have anything to do with the original advertising?
