Don't get me started on Topic bars again !annoyed!
I'm convinced that they are only half the size of the ones from our era.

maybe your hands have doubled in size through maturing into an adult and the seem half the size, !wink!
Know where you are coming from, they are tiny- i think all those nuts gave a high calorific value, probably had to taper the thing down to meet modern-day regs.

Speaking of tiny chocolate bars - what's happened to Walnut Whips? This is another one that's shrunk in size over the past couple of decades.

A lot of today's stuff is way too sickly- all the ingredients have been regulated- even a lovely Mars has a lot of off-days! The only things that have retained their sizes as far as i can see is the Fry's stuff, the chocolate creams (what happened to 5 centres, mmmmmmmm, genius creation, but could easily make a lot of folk puke, I suppose?) and the Turkish Delight. Nowt has gained in size or quality, that's for sure!

Too sickly I agree. There's just too much sugar in modern day chocolates !annoyed!

Seriously, have you tasted American chocolate? It's fucking awful stuff.
You can get Cadbury's made in Canada which is ok, but that's about it. American bread is awful as well. It just tastes of sugar. Stick to the traditional french bread, or Italian stuff when in the USA.
Cadbury's Flakes were always a favourite. You can't melt them in a pan like other chocolate. Did you know that?
