Faintly embarrassing these days.

Once she lead the field, now she just hires whichever hip producer to make her match whatever trend has been set elsewhere. You know you're in trouble when even blatant imitators (Gwen Stefani, say) make better records.

She's been hard at it for 20 years so you'd expect her to eventually go by the wayside be it unwillingly

The g/g action on stage with trailer trash girl is all that keeps her in the mainstream spotlight thesedays

Bought her greatists hits about 5 years ago and its not the worst collection I've seen a round although the early stuff sounds very dated

Of course the dance club scene will always welcome her with open arms probably till the day she dies
