Yes sometimes the pace is a touch slow Buttsie but you gotta remember they are marooned on an exotic island (well, maybe) so the pace isn't meant to be in your face, plus Lost is basically character driven so the flashbacks I think work extremely well. Of course once the twists and turns come it is even better as you are not sure just what is coming next and is one of those shows with lots of WTF moments.
I do tend to watch Lost in batches of 4 episodes at a time as watching it Live on TV you miss a lot of things and the adverts totally ruin the show (the versions I watch don't have ads!wink!). You also gotta participate in all the online Lost banter to get the best out of the show.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Claire only got sliced 'n' diced by Sylar in an alternate future which never happend thanks to Hiro.
