Tough luck Hatton, but at least you can say you lost to a truly great fighter in his prime.
Hatton really looked very sluggish and his punches had no menace to them whatsoever, he seemed to just be throwing them for the sake of it. Mayweathers defence though not appearing to be legal half the time totally deflated him I guess.

Aye, the ref let Mayweather put his forearm and elbow into Hatton's face at every opportunity. Mayweather didn't want Hatton comfortable in the clinches, which you can't blame. It's good ring craft if the ref lets you get away with it.
