LOL...to be fair to the great man
love Bob Dylan even though he has the worst singing voice ever....it's so bad that it's good. My favorite song is either "knockin on heavens door" or "like a rolling stone."

I know.......just winding Wazza up, although he seems to be absent tonight.
I have Dylans greatest hits. Tangled up in Blue, Along the Watchtower, Mr Tambourine Man are a few I like.

Wazza doesn't need winding up as thats his normal speed isn't it?
Just found this little remark about dylan & donovan
There's back story between them, I think. They might have been friends, or something....I'm not sure. I saw a documentary from the '60's called "Don't Look Back." It's about Dylan, but Donovan makes an appearance in the movie (he was also at the screening. Sweet!). So, one may have influenced the other. (In singing styles). Anyway, they do sound similar, but, they have differences in their voices, and it really becomes apparent later in their careers.

Personal choice I suppose. I find Donovan's voice more mellow and chilled out; but I've never bought a Donovan album, while I have two of Dylan's.
Dylan clearly wins, but was this just through better marketing?

I think its more the music and the amount of popular groups doing covers of his songs
I could be wrong but there seem to have been more dylan songs covered than most
Donovan isn't even on my radar...think i can name 1 song
Hurdy Gurdy man

Mellow Yellow, Sunshine Superman . . .
He played the title role in a film version of The Pied Piper. Acting and charisma so low, if he was built like a brick shithouse he could have been competition for Van Damme and Steven Segal.
