some good suggestions so far for helping the planet.
but before any of these can be made we need somthing first...
a device which is hand held and is to be taken when going to meetings with world leaders, heads of large companies, bosses, politicians, and other so called important people.
this device is a anti bullshit and PC/PR unit!!!
so when they are telling us an answer to why they wont cut emissions etc etc we point the device at them and then we can cut the bullshit !!!

That's OK - I got your drift anyway.

Spiritual Broadband From Aliens, where you can download skills directly into your brain and subconscious without having to take a lifetime to learn and master them.
I'm trying to download World Champion level genius Snooker and Golf, Bruce Lee's Skills, Teleportation, every language existing, telepathic intuition and guitar just now.

The greatest invention would be if we could somehow stick giant engines to the earth so that it could become a space-craft and move far enough out of the way when the sun eventually explodes!

Which would be wonderful---except we'd all freeze to death without a sun, assuming the radiation didn't kill us, or that we were able to breath with all the plant life dead due to the lack of sunlight etc

Great idea, Fudgey, except . . .
Learning without experience of when and where to use it is like leaving a kiddy alone with some matches. Just because you have all Bruce Lee's moves, doesn't mean you have to use them if someone accidentally spills your pint, par example.
It'd be fabulous to just suddenly know how to play the piano or guitar, mind.

Was it Keats who said: "Philosophy will clip the wings of angels"?

Agreed- you'd have to then download the file on good decision making and appropriate use of force. The Alien New Order Government would set this file as a default download for the neds, as well as a bumper pack of decency, manners, courtesy and refined accents for free. Otherwise it woulds cost 56.7 kredits.
