You are walking down the street the pretty girl looks at you and you feel big and hard, your weapon in your hand. Gun porn fills our TV screens and if you are a young man you want a gun in 2008. You want a weapon like all those other big guys on the screen to make you feel big and potent.

Okay Arginald,
I concede that it takes a lot of skill to make a gun. However the point of my article is that the gun is a phallic symbol and the scripts written and used by the "gun porn" industry make owning a gun synonymous with being sexually desirable.

Oh I think it did us a massive favour, Trumpy!

Trouble is, while every cloud has a silver lining -supposedly- then lots of silver linings have clouds.

I read that he now resides in the UK and is thinking of becoming a British citizen.

Another consequence of the cold war was that we encouraged, and helped, surrounding nations build nuclear arsenals, and massive armies (Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India).

We needed to prevent Soviet expansion southwards into the rich oilfields and stop the Soviets from having a massive naval influence in the Indian Ocean.

We succeeded and it all contributed to us winning. Trouble is, lots of these countries we armed are now using the stuff against us. The common enemy is taken away and so we're turning on eachother.
