Of course in Rugby the referee does have the option to sin-bin (yellow card) a player for 10 minutes if he feels the offence does not warrant a sending off (red card).

Just how does Dan Parks keep getting selected?? I think I have seen him have one "decent" game for Scotland and surpisingly it was in the Rugby World Cup - the rest of the time he has been outstandingly total mince. When you consider that one of our rare "World Class Players" is sitting on the bench (Chris Patterson) it really is a bit of an insult to everybody involved to witness this.

I agree Croftey. Is it because Parks was born and raised in Australia and therefore is considered superior to Patterson?

Not sure Trumpton, just know that a blind man in a coffin could see that Parks is a liability and Patterson is VERY good ... maybe he is shagging Frank Haddon's daughter or something!!

What does annoy with many (perhaps even the vast majority) rugby clubs is that they are prepared to bring in antipodean players at the expense of home grown players. These antipodean players are then given preferential treatment. The whole situation stinks to the core!
