Forget all that ?fashionable with the chattering classes? hand wringing nonsense about global warming, because I have the answer. Yes, it's true. The planet is saved! And hey, you won't believe how ludicrously simple is its after all those poncy pseudo scientific tossers went on Champagne quaffing junkets to Kyoto and the like.
This is it - we immediately limit everyone on the planet to a maximum of one or two kids apiece (definitely one in the 3rd world). As the world population gradually falls, so will carbon consumption (as well as that of every other finite resource). And when we each have enough room to swing a cat we'll all feel so much more relaxed about things (sigh). At that point I'll step up to the plate to be awarded a plethora of Nobel prizes and bask in the fervent gratitude of a indebted planet.

We're not all that bad, per head. Pretty much average for Europe. Surprised at Ireland & the Netherlands being worse. I can under stand the Czech Republic due to all the old Soviet cars still knocking about.
Look at Oz & Canada!

Is he the mayor of London or the mayor of the congestion charge zone?
I don't mind these charges, but at least make them fair!! Treat all Londoners the same, and stop penalising Londoners for living in the zone or having to drive to work in the zone. Then see if he wins at the next election.

Its not a congestion charge anymore. Its now an emissions charge. So now it will be successful if traffic doubles, but everyone drives a Prius.
