I think if the draw is favourable, then its Man Utd or Chelseas year.....again, but I agree, I'd LOVE to see two of the smaller teams go on now and bring back the real meaning of what the FA Cup is all about.
After Coventrys win over Blackburn and the subsequent draw against West Brom, I had hopes THEY might have a decent run, but West Brom soon put the managerless club to the sword.
Man Utd should have been banned for 10 years after they pulled out to play a money endorsing tournament in Brazil a few years ago, and Arsenal were'nt THAT bothered yesterday with them and Liverpool eyeing up Champions League games this week......where the money is.......I think says quite a lot!

Well done to Barnsley, and to Baggiies and Cardiff.
Arsenal are pathetic and feeble tbh.To play a weakened team yesterday when they are FIVE points clear in the Prem, shows them for what they really are and how dare they insult the magic of the FA Cup.Ask teams like West Brom and Cardiff and tell them the FA Cup is'nt important?
I hope Sheff Utd beat Middlesbore today and Pompey should edge past Preston. With a possibility of only Three premiership teams in tomorrows draw.
If the weighted or heated balls have their way,it's odds-on that Man U and Chelsea will avoid each other in the next round.
I'm guessing it's going to be Man U/Chelsea v Pompey final on May 17th

I want a non-Premier side to face [inevitably] either Man U or Chelsea in the Final.
Will the draw be kind?

Your're spot on colonel.I reckon sides like West Brom,Barnsley,Cardiff etc will be praying to avoid Chelsea and Man U as they now believe they can go all the way,and only a fool would argue that.
then again, a Chelsea v Man U quater final would definetley put the cat among the pidgeon's and i'm sure that's what everyone outside South West London and Manchester wants.
I would'nt rule that out tbh.colonel wrote:

And for the conspiracy theorists....well, yesterday was the FA's ideal final, wasn't it?
I still wouldn't put money on an all non-Premier final...never mind the romance of the Cup, the FA want the money of the Far East and the US. I'll say no more.

hence my concpiracy theory about the weighted balls !laugh!
You Baggies fans will at least be hoping for a home draw as the Hawthornes has always been an intimidating ground as has become a fortress of late.

Weighted balls....
Hmmm- put it like this. The first round was drawn by ex-cricketers, I think. And so on.
If Everyman- or Everyfootballer- draws the balls from now on, then it really is genuine. But if FA trusties get the job- well, Mike, you might well be right.
For a Baggies-Pompey final then?

I do hope Chelsea avoid the Baggies. That Kevin Philips is a thorn in our side. The bugger has always scored against us,especially when he was at Sunderland.
All will be revealed tomorrow lunchtime !happy!
