And if you do get one right now, then get it from an Apple store. Even your receipt will be beautiful. I know I sound evangelical but I can't imagine a world without Steve Jobs. He was asked last year what it took to create a successful company and he said, one, not giving up when others would and, two, knowing how to attract talent and keep it. And part of attracting talent and keeping it, Jonathan Ive and everybody else, is having a vision that rocks. Aside from Apple, this guy is the guy who's ultimately responsible for the total wonderfulness of Pixar. To have two brands like that, brands that set the benchmark as ridiculously high as they do, TWO fucking brands in completely different fields... Jesus. If Steve Jobs were a Brit there wouldn't be an honour that the Queen could bestow on him that would adequately reflect his contribution to the 20th and 21st centuries.

If Jobs were British, the iPod would be the size of a suitcase, made from teak with brass fittings, and they would only turn out 14 a year due to continual union disruption!

Surely though the battery on the iPhone gets easily rinsed. How long does the battery last? and how often does it need charging?

These may be divvy type questions but i'm no tech head.

I'm not a huge minutes user, so it mostly standby mode, but I charge it up every Sunday night, and haven't had a battery problem.

The spec says 240 hrs standby, 8 hrs talk time, but as wth all specs, is probably a very best case scenario.

If your going to unlock it, its best to do it straight out of the box. Resist the urge to play with it, the first time you turn it on should be when its connected to the unlock software.

In that case, I think she needs an intimate one-to-one training course with an experienced iphoner to show her how to get the most from her new toy.

I reluctantly offer myself at tutor.
