Are you sure he didnt debut in Stake Out Ace? unless that was just his first motion picture as I'm sure he was given a introducing addage to his crdit on the main screen.

Yeah call me sad for remembering this. Who reads credits eh?

On the Last King Of Scotland I reckon James McAvoy is the next one to watch out for.

Atonement was very enjoyable a movie to watch. Nice to see movies still being made like this.

He was in a number of movies before Stakeout (1987).

Platoon (1986) was one of them.

My citation was an episode of Hill Street Blues Tel, 1984 I believe, but according to the imdb, this was his 4th TV appearance. His film career started in 1985 or so.
I remember him in Johnny Handsome, a Mickey Rourke film as well as Bird, the Charlie Parker biop from Clint Eastwood
