I actually meant Alan Carr not Jimmy Carr, not that I like Jimmy Carr much either.
Adrian Chile on The One Show spends a lot of his time with banter and small talk often with vacant celeb guests. I this is what the producers expected him to do. Adrian Chile is capable of better as he used to front Business Daily.

Dumbing down has also affected BBC2. I started to watch the 'Money Programme' this evening - I haven't watched it in years. I was totally stunned just how far scrapping the bottom of the barrel has become. It was presented by some young filly in her early 20's who spoke to us as if we were six year olds with learning difficulties. I switched off after we were subjected to some of the worst and crass "journalism" I think I've ever witnessed! It was absolutely horrendous!

If it weren't for the fact that the latter has also been dumbed down, you could easily mistake the Beeb's Six O'Clock News for Newsround.

I don't deliberately watch any early evening news bulletins on any channel and have done this for years. I'm just annoyed, fed up and disgusted by the way the news is presented to us in this dumbed down fashion. I hate it!

The One Show is light entertainment. It is not meant to be a serious alternative to Melvyn Bragg. After an hour of doom and gloom news I don't want some serious documentary. Nice totty and a laugh is far better.
Christien Blakely is gorgeous and Lucy Siegel has fabulous legs.
The Culture Show is far better if you want arty farty stuff.
Now when is somebody going to produce Celebrity Titwank with Nigella and Holly Willoughby?

Elle the One Show nature reporter is very watchable . And screwable
