A sign of how big a result it was for Pompey was that Redknapp came out of his huff and was interviewed by the Beeb.

Normally, I'd be glad to see Man Utd going out of the cup, but not against any team managed by the dodgy one.

Toppled the big spneders! What a major shock. None of the big 4 in the Final this year.

Better team won. Apart from Joe Cole, we were piss poor.
Well Done Barnsley

1. Great for Pompey- love seeing Man U in a tizz. Yes, was probably a penalty but how many 'home' decisions have they had over the years.
2. Awesome game by Campbell in particular
3. Man U keeper was carded for stopping a 'c'ear goalscoring opportunity'- souldn't be any clearer- had to go.
4. Bristol rovers will win the FA cup now

First of all well done to Barnsley, totally deserved it and i for one am not going to make excuses neither defend my team.

Someone on here said he hopes that Chelsea fans don't blame the manager. That's fair enough but the manager (Avram Grant) has never really been accepted by Chelsea fans since day 1 and yesterday's defeat will only justify our doubts about Grant even more. But i'm not going to bore you people about that as i can use my proper Chelsea forum as a platform to vent my anger about the manager and the way the club i've supported for 27 years is currently being run.

Well done also to Pompey, deserved to beat Yahnited.Ferguson really pisses me off with his excuses and is a really nasty man imo

His ongoing grudge with the BBC(reason why his No2 gave the post-match interview) is nothing short of childish.

Let's see what's in store later today in the remaining semi finals.
Bristol Rovers v West Brom:I have no axe to grind with either side,so good luck to them both.Let's hope for a cracker of a game and may the best team win.

Middlesbore v Cardiff:Middlesbore relegated Chelsea in 1988 and imo they are the most boring team on the face of the earth, and their manager once missed a crucial penalty for England. So C'MON YOU BLUEBIRDS!!!!

I think it's going to be Pompey v West Brom in the final....providing they avoid each other in the semi, obviously.

Anyone but Middlesbrough.....Please !bow!

Big time Ace.He who laughs last and all that.

I ain't upset at all Ace.Embarrassed and certain that we are going to get all sorts of flack at work this week?.Yes,of course, but certainly not upset about it.

In fact,it might be a blessing in disguise and hopefully on Wednesday night when we play Derby,us Chelsea faithful leave Grant hanging from the roof of The Shed End.

Sounds Good? !thumbsup!Ace wrote:

See, both Mike and myself are gracious in defeat.
The general concensus of Blues fans on phone-in programmes were also gracious in defeat. Barnsley wanted it more than we did, it was obvious.

BUT..........I WILL say, that under Jose, we wouldn't have lost the Carling Cup Final, nor yesterdays match. And thats not sour grapes, its a fact. Old Money Bags Roman must be seething that he let Jose 'go'
