Didn't Pacers begin life as Opal Mints (the minty version of Opal Fruits, back in the days before they were rebranded as Arseburst)?

a Swisskit, that advert, I loved it, "would you risk it for a Swisskit" and while we are at it, what was the name of that wicked drink that was around in the 70's, I recall the tv commercial for it featured a Polar Bear saying "Its Frothy Man"....what was that drink ? ? ?

Pacers were fucking evil. Sorry Lara- I have a memory of being aged 7 and eating just a few on my last day of holiday in Skegness- and then throwing up all the way home. Four times we had to stop in Notts. alone.

When I was younger my dad would give me and my little sister 20p each on a sunday morning so we could go to the newsagents down the street and get a 20p mix each. Mine was always fruit salad chews, strawberry boot laces and an astro belt (like fizzy red flat strips of liquorice). She always had foam bananas, foam shrimps and fizzy cola bottles.

Also love sherbert strawberries, pear drops and rainbow crystals.

Geek never looked so good!

The short-lived Cadbury's Toffee Buttons (as advertised on TV by Rolf Harris circa 1969 - 1970).
