The only time the airport run correctly was in the early years when they had tents for departure lounges on North Side,and whicker chairs and cream buns.
Straight onto the plane,a short walk, with your luggage intact.
After that,everything went 'down-hill' when they started building the first Terminal One in the centre..and Terminal 5 on a old sewerage farm like today.
The bigger,the more chaos,it's one of human natures failings.The place has always been top heavy with management.

Another reason why I don't fly any more. Plus this comes just a couple of days after BAA were forced to postpone implementing fingerprinting of passengers (when the existing digital photographs would do just as good a job).
