"Islam is trying to fuck us up the arse, and in Europe especially, we're helping them "
Yes, but its not the ordinary working 'Joe Averages' who are smoothing the way for Islam (ordinary folks have no time at all for Islam) its' the sniffy middleclass fuckers of the Labour Party and their luvie supporters to be more specific.

Sorry didn't mean Rubbish. BOLLOCKS was the word I was looking for.
Forgive me.
Any idiot who thinks there is an excuse for 9/11 is basically well erm an idiot.
Can't feel any pity for thousands of people killed + all the relatives etc that the consequence of the selfish actions of the terrorists brought about then I pity you.
I only hope that when the next attack occurs a member of your family or someone close isn't involved.

Ah Yes, middleclass Saudis. But this is just a reflection of what we see in the west, where privileged middleclass sorts who have the world at their feet turn their face against the society and values that has allowed them the those privileges and freedoms - including freedoms to be pretentious silly twats and don black Che Guevara berets.
Naive young people can be very passionate and enthusiastic about political ideas and concepts that sound great fun in the Students Union bar or indeed the 'Madrasa', particularly middleclass students who are generally quite bright with minds like sponges. They are they ones who get get sucked in and seduced by the ideologies - the divi ideologies and ?isms? of the world, which seem gloriously romantic and morally righteous to the privileged young middleclass person who hasn?t got a care in the world. These naive young people may be seeking some exciting cause or propose to their privileged, but otherwise dull and unfulfilling, lives. So they get sucked into various cults and ideologies that they then embrace with a zeal that would be commendable if it wasn't so sad (and dangerous to the rest of us).
Young middleclass people have no real experience of life; they don't understand the human condition and how different types of people to them really are. How could they, they've only ever mixed with 'nice' middleclass people like themselves. They think that everyone else in the world is as bright and of the same mind as they are. So out they go, demanding this and that, talking bollocks about a life they don't yet understand or know anything of.

Her Bosnian fantasy story gets far worse
Taking the advice of Al Gore and National Security Advisor Tony Lake, Bill agreed to a proposal to bomb Serbian military positions while helping the Muslims acquire weapons to defend themselves?the fulfillment of a pledge he had made during the 1992 campaign. But instead of pushing European leaders, he directed Secretary of State Warren Christopher merely to consult with them. When they balked at the plan, Bill quickly retreated, creating a "perception of drift." The key factor in Bill's policy reversal was Hillary, who was said to have "deep misgivings" and viewed the situation as "a Vietnam that would compromise health-care reform." The United States took no further action in Bosnia, and the "ethnic cleansing" by the Serbs was to continue for four more years, resulting in the deaths of more than 250,000 people.

"Why don't you give the class hatred thing a rest for a day or two and take a stress pill.....lol."
I can't. They're doing my head in. Why can't they all be like Jerry Clarkson? Then life in Britain would be such fun - like one long episode of Top Gear.
I think Islamic terrorism has something to do with the way ordinary people have been treated.
I don't. I see it as a fundamentalist offshoot of ordinary Muslims who think the old ways are the best and despise/are in envy of the rich, free, successful west. They use holy scripture to make ordinary Muslims feel guilty -for being bad Muslims, obviously- which leaves no one to criticise, or stand up to them.
Islam has become very political and power hungry; a bit like the Catholic church, pre-enlightenment, and we all know the wars the Popes ordered.
A billion Chinese have been oppressed for years, by their own government, but where's the mass terrorism from those ordinary folk? The Islamists cannot/do not want any reform, or change toward freedom of expression, equality of the sexes or secularism. They see us as immoral and weak.
It is not our attitude, or foreign policies that get them angry, but our success, culture and freedom. Israeli occupation, American foreign policies, Danish cartoons, Dutch Film makers.....all excuses for their actions. People in Africa have a much harder time, but they don't go around bombing civilians 6000 miles away - not unless they've converted to Islam anyway.
Somebody was telling me about the Iraqui civilian casualties on day one of the 2003 'Freedom Iraq' war and it dwarfs the 9/11 casualties massively, still a bunch of civilians at the end of the day, still a soft target, but the 9/11 victims of course get a bigger mention in the media.
And to think I had you down as an intelligent guy. The big difference is obvious: The 9/11 victims were targeted purposely, civilian casualties of war -it is hoped- are not. How the hell can you compare the two?

Bit pushed for time right now, haven't really got time to weigh into the debate much, but:
Sam - you're talking a lot of sense in this thread. Have to concur with your utterances thus far.
Dibs - astute observations as usual.
