No shock to me. Worked in housing support for years and this type of character is quite common, move in, get free bed and board, bang the mother even if she is a munter then get access to the real target, her children.

100% in agreement with you Guilbert - the welfare state encourages these young girls to bang out as many kids as possible. The list of benefits they get is endless. I've seen this in my own street - 16 year old just left school, gets impregnated and gets a 3 bed council house ( not flat ! ) for her and the baby, all inside of a year !
As for the stepfather, if charged and proved guilty - castration. It will stop his desires and also prevent him from seeding numerous other women in the area, and us tax payers won't have to pick-up the bill.

Encourage them? No. An easier life than no welfare state at all? Yes.

What's the solution? No country in the world has ever had, nor ever will have 100% employment rates, so what is civilised society to do? Let them starve? Letting them starve isn't very civilised so we have a choice:

Grudgingly look after them, while making sure education systems don't fail them = pretty civilised.

or,

Let them rot with the satisfaction that no one gets anything for free = seems fairer, but less civilised.

Any benefit system has it's cheats. The aim should be to root out the cheats, not make life harder for the real individuals who're maybe going through a hard time in life and need a little help from their fellow citizens.

Over 95% of people between 16 and 65 are working for a living, so even if half of benefit handouts are to cheats, thats only 2 ?% of the working aged population you're talking about.

The general concesus is that each woman must have 2.1 children just to keep the population stable. The UK average is now only 1.74.

I wouldn't be surprised. The TV people don't really give us the real talk and gossip on the street that would allow us to get a much better idea of what has actually been going on there. It could be that they are want to spin it a particular way for legal or political reasons. For instance, I wouldn't be surprised if the geezer whose flat the little girl was discovered in was not quite the evil kidnapper that the sniffy media allows us to believe in the way they report the case. It might turn out that he was (foolishly) simply offering a refuge from a stupid pikey mother and immature peado boyfriend.

If that is indeed the case and the CPS proceed with a prosecution against the alleged 'kidnapper', then the law really is an ass and the people that make it are a set of ivory tower dwelling cunts.
