I'm not a fan I'm afraid, thought Freema Agyeman was far better. Shame she got stuck with such a poor storyline.

Trumpton said "This represents a triumph of PC over talent."

Wtf has PC got to do with it?

It's the BBC they're talking about, Mart, so it really "must" be a PC thing. After all, the Beeb only does things for PC reasons. I'm sure the Daily Mail said so, so it must be true.

For what it's worth, I'll give Ms Tate a few weeks to see how she settles in. I recall the screams of horror when Billie Piper was first cast, and she won the audience over. Sometimes---as Ashes To Ashes demonstrated---patience is required.

BBC are determined to push her down our throats even if it means rui... oh wait it was alread ruined the fucking minute they signed Billie Piper. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched to find that once again it was a plot ripped of from something else as is par for the course with RTD.
They`ve come full circle the original series used to have cheap effects but thought provoking plots, whilst this is laughable stories and barely passable effects.
I`ll stick to heroes thanks.

The show is like a fucking Pantomime let's be honest about it!!
I suspect the casting of "Grandma" Tate as his new assistant hasn't done Russell T. Davies any favours with the real fans out there - but probably got him a job for life with the BBC Luvvies (if he didn't have already), and as for the serious "grown up" spinoff Torchwood well the least said about how that quickly nosedived into Panto mode the better ...

Lost interest in Torchwood half way thru series one. Awful acting and weak plots written by people who don't know Heinlein from Heineken".

What Dr Who needs is good old 2-4 parters where a plot can develop. 45 mins is too short and doesn't allow the characters to show any depth.
