The ground authorities when through a phase where they 'encouraged' spectators to consume vast amounts of alcohol. This, of course, led to crowd disturbances and ultimately ejections.
The 'Barmy' Army are just an embarrassing bunch of drunkards.

why don't we all go the oval and meet up. I love cricket. We can all wear t-shirts with 1 letter of
www.bgafd.co.uk on the front. It's guaranteed to get on the telly. And would be great to have loads of kids say to mum at the dinner table I saw dad looking at the bgafd website and then see mum going off to find out what the site is!!!!
Yeah we can create nationwide family misery. !laugh!

My cousin managed to get tickets for the England v Sri Lanka test match at Lords last year. He told me that he saw members of the 'Barmy' Army hurling drunken abuse at a family of Sri Lankan supporters.

Hundred for Ramps on the first day, two more to go now til he reaches 100 hundreds. Best county batsmen for decades, what a shame he couldnt translate some of that form at the highest level.
