I can see another penalty shootout looming, interesting to see the effect of not playing the second leg at Anfield this time will have on Liverpool.

Maybe the bit of luck needed to take you to the final?

Tactical master stroke by Avram Grant to bring on John Arne Riise so late in the game to nab the equaliser - don't want to hear you chelsea FC dudes complaining about Grants lack of football knowledge ever again.!wink!
I have to say that Diddy Drogba has to be one of the biggest cheats in world football though - I thought he had by and large cut that sort of stuff out of his game.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

...WILL be at another club at the start of next season... !furious!

However, the tie is definitely NOT over. If the Mighty Reds can get one past Cech - and we had three great chances that he saved superbly - then it's in the melting pot again.

This is still too close to call as with players the class of Gerrard (who admitedly had a poor game tonight) and Torres in the line-up, we are well capable of netting OUR away goal - or maybe even two!

I'm tired of defending Drogba,so that's the end of that.Sometimes sublime, othertimes an embarrassment to have in our team.

The tie's far from over.Anything can still happen and Chelsea will definetley have to play better to reach their first European Cup final,ALOT better.

A stroke of genius from Grant to bring on Kalou and Anelka, something The Special One himself would of been impressed with.......yeah right.

Grant continues to frustrate me.What is it about 'team selection' and 'tactics' that he does'nt understand?.

Only an 'Alamo style' rampage from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Wednesday will spare the blushes of poor John Aarne Riise.

Lucky Chelsea??.Maybe.But tell that to any Chelsea fan worth their salt, and two words will pass out of their mouth.

Who cares!!!!.

Hope you're right mate.Liverpool are yet to score at The Bridge in all competitions under Rafa Benitez's management.

The last time Liverpool scored at Chelsea was on January 1st 2001 and it was Bruno Cheroux(remember him scousers?),that scored in a 1-0 Liverpool win.

To be fair to the fella,he was under pressure from Anelka.Let's face it,none of the overpaid muppets in Chelsea shirts knew where the goal was,so someone had to give us a helping hand !laugh!

Re: Barcelona v Man U

I can't believe certain quarters of the media are writing off Barcelona.Fair enough, there might be a bit of unrest atm,but they still do have alot of quality in their team. They have no chance of winning their domestic league(La Liga),so they definetley will be going all guns blazing this evening.

I've been to the Nou Camp(twice) and the atmosphere there is deafning. The away fans are housed up with the gods, and simply cannot be heard, only the sound of 90,000 screaming Catalans demanding victory.

I'm going for a 3-2 Barca win,but Yahnited will turn the tie around next week at OT.

I didn't think Chelsea played too badly, okay there were some lacklustre individual performances and Cech was the most effective player, but they played badly and got a result. That's seen as a positive attribute when it's Utd 'grinding out a result' so you could focus on the positive. Furthermore Chelsea played porly but where were Liverpool's big game players. Chelsea improved in the second half and kept at it.

I wonder if it just pains people that Grant might emulate Mourinho in the CL with Chelsea? Isn't that just a sideshow? Why begrudge yourself a bit of good fortune ?
