3 years after their last album, you'd bloody well hope it would be a good 'un! Plenty of time to write, reherse, record and over-produce

Not heard their new album yet,but no doubt Virgin radio will plug the tracks over the next few days.

It will have to be a good album to be their best yet, which imo,'Parachutes' still carries that title.

Coldplay need their own sound. They sound too much like U2,but in saying that,Chris Martin is an excellent songwriter.Wrote a song recentley for Embrace. Can't remember the name of the song though.

The song Chris Martin wrote for Coldplay was called 'Gravity' I think. By the way, the best song on the new Coldplay album is called 'Cemetaries of London' - nice atmospheric guitar work, sounds very U2 though with the delay effects and things. Every note comes back about three times.

Well done Max,that's the name of the song that Martin wrote for Embrace !thumbsup!.I think Coldplay recorded their own version(unreleased) but no doubt it would be on one of Radio 1's studio albums.Embrace done a great job of 'Gravity' anyway.

I will try out the new Coldplay album,as i do have all their other albums. Was a tad disappointed with X&Y tbh.

Coldplay have already tried the open air tours. They've recentley played The Reebok in Bolton,The Allianz in Munich,Moscow's Luznichi Stadium and Lisbon's Stade Da Luz.They also played a set at Live8.

No doubt they're booked for Wembley Stadium and Twickenham Rugby Stadium next year. They will sell out as well.

I saw some of their gig at the BBC earlier tonight. Chris Martin leaping around as usual, and the guitarist Johnny Buckland with his banks of pedals which he played as much as he did his strings. They are a great band but, like I said, the U2 guitar sound is very evident. They even have Brian Eno as producer on this new album (the man who has produced, along with Danial Lanois, every U2 album, bar one, for the last 23 years). Rock on Johnny - or rather 'echo on' or 'delay on' ! Hehe!

Their new single 'Viva La Vida' which is the title track of the new album is brilliant.

I just saw on the news that some guy is claiming he wrote their new song Violet Hill (I think it is that one - one of the ones on the new album anyway). The term is 'plagarism' and Chris Martin may be sued, but the management have hit back saying that Chris Martin wrote it in Air Studio's in London not so long ago. I doubt this other person wrote it but where there is big money there is usually a claim...
