I bought a Sainsbury mini roasting joint a couple of weeks back - it was about 75% fat and grissle. Looked nice and lean the way they'd wrapped it, because they'd hidden all the crap, but was disgusting and a waste of money. Most meat seems to be overpriced and bad quality these days.

Find your nearest farm shops:

Find your nearest farmers' market

If you can't find better quality food at prices equal to or lower than supermarkets, I'll go out and buy myself a hat and eat it!!!
HAPPY SHOPPING !happy! !happy! !happy!

I got one for 39p at Lidl - trouble is you have to throw half away as it always goes off.
I also bought some Angus Fillet Steak at the Co-Op, ?22.49 a kilo at full price --- that has to be a joke! Only reason I bought it was it was marked down to half price because it was on sell-by date.
