Talking to an ex Naval Helicopter Pilot the sort of thing Prince William has been doing recently is nothing new.Naval Pilots have been doing it for years.Arrival by Helicopter at your wedding is one that I know of.Or a few years back a Helicopter dropping off a couple of girls for a School Prom(Dad was a Naval pilot)All true.In the case of the Prom drop off featured in the paper and given an award as the most unique from of transport used.
Interestingly no one complained.
