So the only chance of these shows improving is if Sky takes them over...not much chance really then....I think they'll linger on for a few years yet,but when you can buy a dvd for the cost of a quick chat,it's not really value...

These channels aren't planning on disappearing.
They will fight Ofcom all the way and take them to court if necessary and even the European Court on Human Rights.

When are the encrypted channels going to do the same, i.e. take on Ofcon for the ridiculous ban on full R18? Some hope !

TVX muttered something about it once, but since then they put hardcore on their websites, so I think they aren't much bothered now about wanting R18 on TV.

Well if Ofcom push through their proposed new rules then even the daytime chat shows will be banned unless they become pin protected.

I think that might get them to improve things...

These channels reckon that most of their calls are from casual viewers, not from people who tune in night after night.
If they were pin protected they reckon not many of these casual callers would bother to register and then their call revenue would plummet.
So if Ofcom push through these new rules I think many of these channels will opt to close down and say that they were forced out of business.

i think thats what will happen if it becomes pin protected, in theory if they did become pin protected they could become harder in content, but having seen that channel 936 which is pin protected after 10pm i doubt it will be. you used that to pay ?5.99 a night and that used to hardcore and now it isn't any more.
