Definitly the best final since Mac v Borg in 1980 and probably the best ever.

Great match, two great champions - either player would have been a worthy winner.
Not only that, but both come across as affable, likeable young blokes so good luck to 'em both. They also appear to have a lot of genuine respect for each other.
Well done to Nadal. But Federer will be back next year.
It'll be interesting to see how Nadal does at the US Open, whether he can step up to the plate there.

Nadal was indeed a worthy winner, but was I the only one who thought he was slowing the game down too much when serving? He doesn't need to bounce the ball 10-12 times before deciding to serve. He also uses his towel at EVERY point.
There should be a time limit on serving and you're only allowed to use your towel once per game.

Interesting that a year ago Federer was reckoned to be closer to winning Nadal's event (French Open) than Nadal was to winning his (Wimbledon). Maybe like Borg Federer will retire soon after losing his crown?

That's his routine Sam. Its part of his OCD. The routine used to include him pulling his socks up and adjusting his shorts but he seems to have phased that out a bit. He likes to line his water bottles up too.
He was given one time violation during the match. There already is a time limit on serving and between points.

By adjusting his shorts do you mean pulling them out of his crack between points ? He was doing that a little too often for my liking .. and before the watershed too !

Well, it would have been worse if he just let the fabric ride up and expose the contours of his crack!
