If I were the NOTW I would be dusting me checkbook down ready for an outing, it's not so much the action of Max M, more that Judge Eady doesn,t really seem to like the media, He presided in recent cases such as Lord Browne, a Saudi billionaire, George Galloway, Paul Mckenna and found for all of them in newspaper allegations.

The N.O.W is merely an arm of Big Brother and trying to set a precedent that will allow cameras into private premises. Big Brother is never satisfied he can watch you as soon as you step outside your front door and now he wants the right to come inside!

The judge only awarded compensation, he did not agree to punitive fines.
In a way, the judgement didn't resolve the privacy issues, because on the one hand the judge agreed that people have a right to keep their sex life private, on the other this kind of fine won't deter any major newspaper.
Perhaps in a repeat case in the future a judge might say: we were here before, we are here again, so I'll increase the fine as a deterrant.

I'm glad he's had justice served. I really can't understand how anyone can spy on a person having sex in a private place. If he'd been doing this stuff in Tesco's carpark then fair enough, but if what the NOTW did isn't an invasion of privacy, what is?
