Well of course the internet isnt free and never has been as we all have to pay an ISP, and now that most households are hooked up to the internet the only way that ISPs can gain new customers is to coax then from their rivals with a better deal, therefore i think that competition will keep the internet affordable to most but you will probably have to pay more if you want unlimited dowloads !sad!

Sams right. If the internet was really free you wouldnt be paying for your service. So you see. You've been paying for it already.

Everything you think is for free you are actually paying for. There is no free.

Only an idiot would consider the internet to have ever been free

When you consider how many films,songs etc you can download for a one off monthly access fee its pretty easy to see whos living in cloud cuckoo land
expecting that to remain static

The only upside of making the internet more restrictive would be less traffic higher speeds for those left?
