I was just curious, did the package with the "customs" sticker on it arrive later than expected (i.e. did they keep it for a while)?
I ask this because I am waiting on a few films from US companies and have been waiting for 4 weeks now. The post I recieve from the US usually takes 4-8 days.

?Tides of emotion and fear? do not arbitrarily sweep throughout the land. They may be caused by ?events? and have some basis in fact or reality. But tides of emotion and fear are the most powerful weapons at the disposal of politicians and newspaper proprietors and if perchance they detect a slight swell developing they usually act to magnify it?s effect and channel it?s full force against their political and business rivals while at the same time boosting their own popularity and standing. The classic example of this was of course Hitler?s rise to power in the 1930?s. He whipped up a magnificent tide of emotion and fear over the ?Jewish problem?, which gripped a whole nation of otherwise, cultured and civilised people who are no different from us Brits.
You can still see pale examples of this rabble rousing technique today, it is usually employed by the tabloid press as their intellectually challenged readership is more susceptible to simplistic sloganeering and a desire, even excitement, to be one of the group (mob) that is baying for blood. Of course today you can?t whip up mobs against Jews, Blacks, or Gay folk, so when those nasty hypocrites in politics and the media look round for hates figures to be the focus of their tide of emotion and fear, who do they see ? peodos! Now everyone can hate them without fear of some poncy, pretentious, politically correct middles class twats from the ?Commission For Pedo Equality? getting on their case. So, next time you are confronted with some shitty newspaper campaign against somebody the establishment doesn?t like, just remember what the Officer said ? They?re laughing up their sleeves at you thinking ? with some justification - that a few choice words, half truths, things taken out of context and downright lies will have you jumping through their hoops and asking ? How high?
