Thats a bit of a long bow to draw Officer Dibble.
I think we can do without the references to the Jews in the 1930s.That scenario isn't likely to rear its ugly head in the U.K.Detention camps for all those who have bought & watched porn-wouldn't leave a whole lot of the population at large.
Now if Gripper had said 'If you have done nothing other than buy & watch legal pornography then you will have nothing to fear unless you intend to run for Parliament,become the Arch Bishop of Canterbury or more simply put are aiming to gain power & influence.Which is when your opponents will did up the 'porn aspect and smear your good name'which no doubt Fleet street will blow out of all proportion.The answer would seem to be have extra marital affairs-a definite vote winner judging by past politicians.Paddy Who?
Unfortuantely the vast majority still have religious beliefs which make porn tolerable in private but scorned in public.

The Jews back then were doing nothing ?wrong? but still the State took it upon it?s self to persecute and murder them. This has even happened in Europe in the past decade (Bosnia). Because the concept seems so beyond our experience doesn?t mean that it could not happen here. Things can turn on a sixpence and who knows what views will gain ascendancy in times to come. Forget about The Cartel, The Kray Twins and The Mob - you can have a deal with them - the most malevolent enemy anyone can have is the State.

If it can be illegal to simply look at something, then how can any of you really think that? Yes, the state is the enemy, and as discussed in recent posts, public "opinion" (i.e. what the brainless, tabloid-reading masses have been brainwashed with) can change in no time at all. What constitutes "acceptable" anyway? I am as digusted by child pornography as anyone, I cannot understand the appeal whatsoever but if someone can be convicted of a crime by simply looking at something then I'm afraid to report that the trend is set. As uncomfortable as we all are with child porn - WHICH IS WHY IT'S BEST TO USE THIS EMOTIVE EXAMPLE- the plain truth is that owning and using pornographic material of WHATEVER NATURE is a victimless crime. What's acceptable today may not be tomorrow. As far as I can see, if looking at an image (any image) is a punishable crime then any illusions of freedom or justice are now just that. How can looking at something be a crime?

You are part of a firm of solicitors. I think that is being 'part of the system' although maybe not part of the state. You are part of a firm of solicitors. I think that is being 'part of the system' although maybe not part of the state. If your job includes insider mind games (fundamentally - the law and it's 'interpretation') then that makes you part of the system (you use the powers of the state) on behalf of your clients (whoever they maybe).

Oh dear. Another example of Joe Kings legendary logic. By your logic anyone employed by the state must be part of the problem including nurses and firemen. In fact anyone who pays taxes must surely be part of the problem because we all pay for Customs and Excise, police MI5 etc through our taxes. Even the unemployed and pensioners pay taxes via VAT on they goods they buy.
I think you should blame society as a whole instead of singling me out.

He has not returned to state his opinion which I can only surmise is complete bollocks, and makes me wonder why he made his comments in the first place.
