How can a 'Tory Police State' be any worse than the current faux-Tory Police State?
And why are people silly enough to make out one side is bad and the other good, as if it's simple as black & white.

I believe the UK is used as a global guinea pig in many ways, in particular to test how much shit people will accept - high cost of living, over-population, surveillance levels, restrictive laws etc

Simply because I was referring to Green Dave's best mate can't do nowt wrong David Davis and the joke that Green Dave was walking the streets along side him saying how his stance was such a wonderful thing.
Turned out like most things Green Dave says to be total bollocks and yet another media gimmick.
More important than that is David 'man of the people (apparently) and not an attention seeking fuckwit' Davis not resigning from the his party.
Shami's blowjobs must not be as good as he first thought.
Either that or now that she had her few column inches thanks to the Dave's she's not putting out as easily.
Certainly nothing for 'the man of principals' to resign his position over as an MP and member of a party wanting something he was sooooooo staunchly against.

So why not simply either
A: use your vote and vote in a different political party
B: become an MP yourself and lobby parliament yourself
As I already stated, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act has nothing at all to do with what surveillance the police or any other public body carries out - just the paperwork that's required to comply with the Human Rights Act.

A: I do
B: You don't need to become an MP to lobby parliament.
As I said the post was about Green Dave being best buddies in front of the media with David 'I am a man of principal' Davis and the reality of both being a lot different.

No, you actually said it was about the Tories 'showing their true colours.'

Yes exactly their true colours.
Say one thing in front of the media, do another in Cameron's case off it or do fuck all despite your so called principals in the case of David Davis.

"Say one thing in front of the media, do another..."
Like the 10% tax rate;
Or the pledge to keep public borrowing under 40% of GDP;
Or any other of the countless times this has happened.
Oh no, wait...that's Labour so obviously you can't be a Labour supporter?
