They say their "incapacity" makes them unable to work.



Unfortunatley if you make it easy to claim dole or any other benefit, with little checking, then there are MILLIONS (yes MILLIONS) of people who will take advantage of that.

Why should the millions of other people who go to work every day and pay their tax and try to better themselves, pay for the lazy bastards who want to sit at home all day on benefits.

I have no problem with genuine claiments, but week after week we read of people claiming for a bad back who then run a marathon, or have a job as a football linesman, or have job fixing roofs.

This country is not a charity, we have to compete with the rest of the world for our products and services. If we have the extra cost of layers and layers of fraudulant benefit cheats then our products will never be able to compete on the world stage.

I for one would vote for any party that will sort out the massive abuse of benefits, instead of paying it hand over foot with little or no checking, as the Labour party do.

You're always going to get people who don't want to work I'm afraid, so we're much better off just accepting it rather than turning them into angry, frustrated thieves and vagabonds. It's always going to be a minority because people like being busy.....at least in the UK, us being the hardest working people in Europe.

I think the Tories ought to come up with something that actually means something, rather than getting divvies aggravated over -what is in context- a small problem.

The ones that really get up my nose are those that claim they are a single parent when they are not, in order to get their rent, council tax etc paid.
I know plenty of them, and they've got away with it for years

If i don't purchase a tv licence i get someone at my door every month until i do.

Guilbert, week after week you read about scroungers because you look for such stories and you've found media which pander to your prejudices. Why don't you complain about wastage in the criminal justice system let's say ? What about those collapsed fraud cases recently .. how much do you think they cost ? Another example what about the cases against the two Southampton footballers which was dropped. How much did that cost ? If you're going to address waste and inefficiency don't be selective.

The sad thing is when the tories do get in and the right wing press come out with further muck raking about benefit claimants they will only come down harder and harder on them....until there will be basically no welfare state left atall. Will all you right wing loons be happy then?
