Sky News have just announced (5.40pm) that Brand has resigned from the BBC. He is bound to be offered more work doing whacky zany stuff though - late night Channel 4 no doubt beckons!!

Good luck to the girl.If she can make a few bob out of this then fine.It'll all be chip paper next week and meanwhile she'll have banked about ?50K possibly more.She'll probably take Manuel out for dinner and a bottle of Champagne too.

He was due to do a phone interview,but couldn't because his wife is in hospital,so he had more pressing matters to attend to.Makes Brand's and Ross' behaviour even more reprehensible.

Look out for front covers on those dreadful celebrity chat mags with headlines like: 'How Georgina is rebuilding her life following Russellgate' or 'Georgina: my life now in the aftermath of phonegate' or some other sensationalist nonsense where she is being paid to pose with a frown on her face. Look out for Lads Mag photoshoots of her in her underwear. She is about to join the ranks of Peaches Geldof and Jade Goody as someone who is famous for being famous, and nothing else.

I just saw the head of the BBC on Channel 4 News and he said of Jonathan Ross 'Jonathan should regard this as a final warning'. He was referring to his 3 month suspension without pay. Apparently the one and a half million pounds he would have earned over the next 12 weeks will go to charity. This seems odd - they could have spent that on making programmes. This 'final warning' will mean Ross really has to clean up his act!

How embarrassed could Georgina aka Mistress Voluptua be over this, is it just that she didn't want her grandad to know?
