Hate to disagree, but I think you will find shooting hadn't finished on The Shining when the fire happened, and the film that Elstree was trying to get in was Empire SB. Raiders was a year later.

The good news is that after years of decline, asset stripping and bad management, Elstree is, though a shadow of its former self, thriving somewhat. For those of an inquisitive bent there's a trade show coming up in the Lucas stage, the BSC event, which is always interesting. If you fulfill the registration criteria you can get to play with some really high-end toys.

He sounded well pissed off! It mustve been pretty bad for him to kick off like that. I bet he's well tasty in a fight. He sounded if he was going to give him a pasting.

As for just being professional and doing another take, that comment just trivialises the effort that people like Bale put into these movies.

Im not sure what it took to make that scene but if it involved a lot of action and constantly having to do it over again to get it right and it was fucked up by the DoP walking around the set then I can see his point big time.

Could you imagine a porn producer missing the cum shot and asking the stud to do it again? He'd probably get lamped too.

Bale seems like a grumpy bastard at the best of times. I think people like him (Colin Farell etc) are just tired of all the sycophants that fawn over them just because they are big movie stars when they just want to be treated as people when they are not acting.

Besides, this was leaked to generate more interest in the movie as things like this go on at film sets all the time..Like the famous one with Sean Connery having a hissy fit at John McTiernan for being an amateur on Medicine Man...(Sorry Sean, he made Die Hard so gotta disagree with you there)
